We Are Starting a Partnership with Fundacja Przyjaciel Zwierz. A New Volunteer Hub Has Been Created at the Sanctuary

Volunteers are the heart of many non-profit organizations. Thanks to their dedication, it is possible to help animals, carry out educational activities, and build local communities based on cooperation and responsibility. This is why Mushika Foundation and Przyjaciel Zwierz Foundation have begun a partnership aimed, among other things, at developing volunteer engagement and supporting civic participation.

A Shared Goal: Supporting Volunteerism

Przyjaciel Zwierz Foundation runs an animal sanctuary built from the ground up, serving as a rescue and care facility for animals in need. The sanctuary is located in Dębowce, approximately 70 kilometres from Warsaw. The foundation also carries out educational activities focused on animal protection, animal welfare, and responsible animal care.

Providing effective care for animals at the sanctuary requires not only knowledge and commitment, but also people willing to dedicate their time to social causes. Investing in volunteerism benefits both animal welfare and the personal growth of those who choose to get involved. Volunteering provides opportunities to gain new experiences, build meaningful relationships, and develop a sense of agency.

This is why one of the first joint initiatives of Mushika Foundation and Przyjaciel Zwierz Foundation was the creation of a space dedicated to supporting volunteers.

WoloDomek – A Space for Volunteers

One of the first outcomes of the partnership between Mushika Foundation and Przyjaciel Zwierz Foundation is the “WoloDomek at Przyjaciel Zwierz” – a Volunteer Activity Centre.

This newly created space serves as a social, organizational, and educational hub for people involved in animal welfare work. It is a place for meetings, rest, training sessions, workshops, and the exchange of knowledge and experience. WoloDomek is designed to support both current volunteers and those who are just beginning their journey with community engagement.

Providing the right conditions for action is essential for the development of volunteer programs. Initiatives like this make it easier to build a strong community of engaged individuals and encourage more people to become involved in helping animals.

This Is Just the Beginning

WoloDomek is the first joint project carried out by Mushika Foundation and Przyjaciel Zwierz Foundation, but it certainly will not be the last. We are already planning further initiatives focused on public education, animal protection, and strengthening the skills and competencies of volunteers.

We hope that WoloDomek will become a place where many valuable initiatives, ideas, and community-driven activities will come to life.
